A: Being a digital signage software provider, we do not sell hardware/playback PCs. We have designed our product to work on commodity hardware allowing you to deploy your network with the lowest capital costs for hardware.

Q: What are the minimal technical requirements to run Click2Screen?

A: System requirements are determined by what kind of content is going to be used in the network. The specs requirements for HD(1080i) content are far higher that those for a network that is only going to show images.

Here are the basic specs of a machine that we have tested.

Q: How does Click2Screen manage hard drive space?

A: The Click2Screen Player automatically manages its hard drive space. When the size limit is reached content files with the least relevant date of playback are deleted.

Q: Can we buy screens from you?

A: We do not sell display hardware. Our digital signage software works with all types of displays.

Q: How much does your software cost?

A: Our software pricing is competitive and customized per client relative to their business model. The license fee is based on the number of Click2Screen Players (our player software) and the length of contract term.

Q: What OS do you support?

A: Click2Screen Administrator can be access from any internet enabled web browser, on any platform/OS.
Click2Screen Player will run on either Windows, Mac OS or Linux.

Q: Does Click2Screen run on Windows Vista?

A: Click2Screen Player will run on Windows Vista, although we do not recommend using Vista a this time. This is due to the fact that Windows Vista has not been prven to be as reliable and stable a platform as the current alternatives.

Q: How many parts can I split the screen into?

A: We support multi-position layouts. The software does not limit the number of areas you can set up.

Q: How does Click2Screen protect my data?

A: Click2Screen can be optionally set up to communicate over SSL. In addition, we run a cluster of servers to provide redundancy.

Q: Do I need to install any software on my computer?

A: No, to access the administrator you only need a regular internet enabled web browser. To preview content online, a computer of relatively good performance is recommended.

Q: How do I access the Click2Screen Administrator?

A: Using a web browser, you login to your account through this web site, wherein you will have access to the administrator.

Q: How do I upgrade Click2Screen when a new version of the software is released?

A: Click2Screen Player has an auto-update feature that is controlled by our network administrators. Your software will be updated without interruption to operation, as soon as an update is released.

Q: Can Click2Screen run without an internet connection?

A: Yes, Click2Screen Player will keep playing the current content and schedule until it receives a new update.

Data Display

Q: Can Click2Screen run bespoke applications?

A: Of course. We have set up numerous bespoke applications running on the Click2Screen platform. Examples would be airport information data screens, GPS tracking systems and Booking Systems to name but a few.

Q: What sort of data can be integrated into my system?

A: Any third party system that can provide a data feed via HTTP or a standard data interface can be integrated into the Click2Screen system.

Q: How secure is my data?

A: We can give you the option of securing all of your data transmission over SSL.

Scheduling Media Files

Q: Can I preview my content?

A: Yes, you can preview files, playlists and schedules all through the Click2Screen Administrator.

Q: Can I schedule content for future playback?

A: Yes. You can schedule as much content and as far into the future as you like.

Q: Can I target specific markets, locations, demographics, specific parts of a network?

A: Yes. You can group content into different types by region, location, etc.

Content Capabilities

Q: Can I create content using Click2Screen Suite?

A: We do not sell display hardware. Our digital signage software works with all types of displays.

Q: What content file formats does Click2Screen Suite support?

A: Click2Screen supports most common media file formats. Anything uploaded to the system that is not compatable will be refused upload, as to not cause a possible playback error when it hits your screen.

Q: Does Click2Screen Suite support interactive content (touchscreens, SMS, etc.)?

A: Yes. Furthermore, you can link interactive content to databases and other data services.

Q: Can I preview content in your application?

A: Yes, you can preview files, playlists and schedules all through the Click2Screen Administrator.

Server and Hosting infrastructure

Q: Where is the Click2Screen server hosted?

A: The Click2Screen server network is hosted in a secure data centre in the UK. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more detailed information.

Q: How do I deploy a network in areas where only dial-up is available?

A: This will not be a problem. Click2Screen runs on any internet connection, no matter what speed it runs at. The only restriction might be the size of the media files you can have downloaded to the players.

Q: Does a Click2Screen network require permanent Internet connection?

A: No. Click2Screen only requires internet to update content and schedules. As all content is downloaded and stored on each player, it doesn't require a constant internet connection to play 'live', like a television connection.

Q: What are the minimal bandwidth requirements?

A: There are none, but it depends mostly on the type of content used, and the kinds of schedules run.

Q: How do I know if there is a problem on my network?

A: Click2Screen provides network health moitoring tools, as well as email notifications.

Q: What type of network connectivity does Click2Screen Suite use?

A: Click2Screen requires an internet connection. It does not depend on any particular type of connection. Any connection type can be used: dial-up, cable, adsl, satellite, 3G/EDGE/GPRS etc.

Q: Will the software run behind a firewall?

A: Yes.

Q: How do I know if a screen is off?

A: An optional RS232 plugin is available, which can monitor the current state of any connected screen.
