Overview To start, Click2Screen Admin is accessable through any internet enabled web-browser. Using your username and password, you can login from anywhere - it's as easy as logging into GMail or Yahoo!
File Manager The file manager is your library of uploaded files. Whatever you have in here can be put on any screen on your network. To upload a file, you just click and browse for a file on your computer (like attaching a file to an email) and hit go. Once up there, you can name it, make notes or organise your files into different folders and categories. Most known media files are acceptable, as they all get converted automatically to a uniform format that the system can understand. For example, you can upoad an MPEG, WMV, Quicktime Movie etc. and it'll get converted to one naitive video format. Why? Well, read here to find out.
Playlists A fundamental part of any signage system is the ability to sequence media into a playlist, quickly. Taking any of the available image, animation, video or plugin content in your library, you can quickly arrange any of it into a playlist. An infinite number of playlists can be created and saved for later use.
Templates + Layouts The difference between the two is straightforward: Templates are the arrangement of different divisions of the screen, which can be divided up into any number of areas. The intuitive interface lets you click and drag areas on the fly and tweak the position and dimensions of each either with an onscreen joystick, or by entering in the exact numeric values. Further to this, you can assign a background template image to apply, or just colour different background areas. Layouts allow you to take any template you've created and assign you content to each area. This seperation of the two allows you to make and re-use as many different templates and layouts as you like. By simply selecting each area of your template, you can assign any of your files, plugins or playlists to each. Scheduling Once you have your content library and layouts created, it's time to deliver it to your screens. Again, with the friendly and familiar calendar based scheduler, you can play your content 24/7 in any combination. The scheduler allows you to run any layout at any time of the day, during specific hours, and even during specific parts of an hour.
For example, you could target your content to display latest news headlines for the first ten minutes and then advertisements for the rest of each hour. Come 6 O'Clock in the evening you can run your 'After-hours salesman' to display content for passers-by. Let your screens work for you! Admin The admin area is where you can really see the power of the Click2Screen Network. Here you have the option of manging different users on your system, granting them varying levels of access. You can also cross-assign content from any of your players into different groups. You can choose to simply clone the content of one, to many (avoiding you the repetition of uploading the same content to many players), or you can assign players into groups and subgroups. Finally, you can see the status of your network, including site information, screen uptime and also issue system commands to each (such as turning off a screen)
